Dashboard overview
See inventory totals, IPv4 allocations and rack-space information in one place.
Free, open-source IP address management (IPAM) and network inventory software for homelabs and small IT teams. Organise IPv4 subnets, track IP address allocations and reservations, document network devices, and manage equipment racks — all from a single HTML file. No database, Docker, container manager or server required.

Ever wondered which IP addresses are free, which device is using a particular address, or how much space is left in your rack? Caffoot Lite brings those everyday infrastructure questions together in one easy-to-use tool.
Instead of juggling spreadsheets, handwritten notes and scattered records, you can organise IPv4 address blocks and subnets, document devices and IT assets, and see equipment positioned in visual rack elevations. A dashboard gives you a useful overview of your environment.
It's designed for home labs, enthusiasts and smaller IT environments that want clear records without setting up a complicated management platform.
Track IPv4 networks, subnets, VLAN context, allocations and reservations.
Explore IPAM →Document devices and IT assets so important information is easier to find.
Explore inventory →Good to know: Lite stores data locally in your browser, not on a hosted account. Export JSON backups regularly; clearing browser data may erase your records. Lite has no built-in authentication, so it must not be exposed directly to the public internet.
No database. No Docker. No container manager. No server. No office suite. No account. The published release runs from one HTML file — just open it in a modern browser.
Download the published HTML application and open it locally. No installation or server configuration required.
Document devices, IPv4 subnets, address allocations, reservations and racks without needing a constant internet connection.
Caffoot Lite is built to remain accessible, portable and free — even as Caffoot Pro develops.
Powerful enough to be useful. Simple enough to just open. 🦔
Managing IP addresses shouldn't require a dedicated server or complicated deployment. Caffoot Lite helps you document IPv4 networks, organise CIDR subnets, track assigned and available IP addresses, and manage reservations in one straightforward application that runs locally in your browser.
Designed for home labs and small IT teams, Caffoot Lite is a manual IP address management and network documentation tool — not an automatic network scanner, DHCP server or shared multi-user service.
Explore IP address management →No server to configure. Caffoot Lite runs from a standalone HTML file in your browser.
Visit the official GitHub releases page and download the published standalone HTML application.
Open the HTML file in a modern browser. Add your subnets, devices and racks to begin documenting your setup.
Go to Settings & Data → Data Management → Download Backup and save the backup outside your browser.
From your first few devices to a growing lab, Caffoot Lite helps keep the important details organised.

Caffoot began as a Microsoft Access database application, built to solve a practical infrastructure management challenge for a client.
I wanted to take that idea further: make it responsive, straightforward to use and independent of office software. As someone who loves open-source software, I also wanted to create something that other people could use and build on.
That became Caffoot Lite — a free, open-source way to organise network and IT infrastructure. Lite will always remain free and available as a standalone HTML application.
It's also the foundation for Caffoot Pro, a planned Docker-based edition with more features. Pro is still in development, with no release date announced.
Caffoot is shaped by a real-world need and developed with the help of modern tools, including AI-assisted coding. The ideas, direction and ongoing improvements are driven by its creator, with a focus on useful features, simplicity and continuous improvement.
The essentials before you get started with Caffoot Lite.
Yes. Caffoot Lite is free and open source, and the plan is to keep it that way permanently. The source is published under the MIT licence; Caffoot's name and official branding have separate conditions.
No. The published Caffoot Lite application runs from a single HTML file opened in a modern browser. You don't need Docker, a database, a web server, a container manager, Microsoft Access or an office suite.
Yes. The standalone application is designed for local use, including without an internet connection. You can open the HTML file without running a server or signing in.
Your devices, addresses, racks and settings are saved in your browser's local storage — not inside the HTML file, on a server or automatically in the cloud. Clearing browser data can permanently erase your inventory, and moving or renaming the HTML file may affect access to it.
Use the built-in Settings & Data Management tools to export a JSON backup, and store it safely outside the browser. Always export and verify a backup before upgrading, changing browsers, moving the HTML file or resetting data. Backups can contain sensitive network information.
Caffoot Lite is intended primarily for local use, not as a public multi-user service. It has no built-in login, access control or shared server-side database. Do not expose it openly to the internet. Consult the repository's security guidance before considering any hosted deployment.
No. Caffoot Lite is a documentation and inventory tool, not a network discovery scanner. You add and manage the infrastructure information you want to track.
Caffoot Pro is a planned Docker-based edition intended to build on Lite with additional capabilities. It's still in development; features, pricing and a release date haven't been announced. Lite will remain free and standalone.
For full instructions, upgrade precautions and security guidance, see the Caffoot Lite repository ↗.

Your Caffoot Lite records are stored locally in your browser. Download a JSON backup to keep a separate copy of your inventory, and use the data management tools to restore a compatible backup when needed.
Create a portable JSON copy of your records using Settings & Data → Data Management → Download Backup. Store the file somewhere safe outside your browser.
Use the data management tools to import a compatible backup, then check that the expected records are present. Read any confirmation prompts carefully before restoring.
Make a fresh backup before changing Caffoot Lite versions, switching browsers or clearing browser data. Browser storage alone is not a backup.
Backups are created manually. Save a copy outside your browser so you can recover your inventory if browser storage is cleared or you move to another computer.
Check any confirmation prompts carefully before importing, particularly if you already have inventory stored in this browser.
Free, runs locally, and available as a standalone HTML release.
